NetworkAccess · SmartBuild

Compliance, captured at the moment of construction.

Every construction step proven at source, so what the crew captures becomes the as-built.

Where SmartBuild sits

The build phase of NetworkAccess, not a second system

NetworkAccess holds one trusted record of the network and answers inventory, serviceability, capacity and operations from it. That record is only as good as what goes into it, and the moment it is most likely to go wrong is construction: the trench nobody measured, the manhole photographed somewhere else, the restoration signed off from an office.

SmartBuild closes that gap at the source. It is the capability that captures the build as it happens and hands the result to the same digital twin the operations teams already work from, so the as-built is not a separate deliverable to reconcile later.

  1. 01

    Capture the build

Position, depth, image, video and form evidence recorded at the action, in a locked sequence, fully offline.

    How it works
  2. 02

    Validate before it moves

Computer vision checks the image and auto-fills the value, so the next step opens only once the evidence stands up.

  3. 03

    Feed the digital twin

SmartInventory integration is on the v1 roadmap, so the validated as-built becomes the network of record rather than an archive of photos.

    NetworkAccess

Built for how construction actually happens

Most tools record a build after the fact, from a map or an office desk. SmartBuild captures compliance at the action itself, as a property of the work.

Compliance is a property of the work

Every safety measure, joint closure and restoration is captured at the action itself, not reconstructed in an office weeks later. Evidence at source, by design.

Centimetre position and depth, in the workflow

Sub-5cm position with depth captured at the moment of construction. As-built passes record location after the fact; SmartBuild records it as the step that unlocks the next one.

Workflow-locked and fully offline

The next step opens only after the prior step’s evidence validates, even with no signal. Maps, layers and workflows download ahead; capture is local; sync is end of day, with no data loss.

Auto-fill from the camera makes evidence hard to fake

AI reads depth from the Digitrak readout, counts equipment from pole images and dimensions from manhole frames. Fewer manual entries means fewer entries to fabricate.

What the build phase decides

Four points on the corridor where the record is won or lost

A rollout is captured, or it is not, at six kinds of point along the route. SmartBuild treats each as an entity with its own evidence requirements, so the proof is produced by the work rather than assembled afterwards.

Trench

Depth, pinned to where it was dug

Position and depth captured together along the route, read against the right-of-way standard at the point of the dig.

Duct and manhole

Proven before the soil goes back

Duct into manhole, manhole into a framed capture, restoration patched in, each validated at the action and tied to its exact location.

Pole and site

Counted from the image, not attested later

Pole equipment is counted automatically from the photograph, and the site safety state goes on record at the location it protects.

Last-mile cable

The stretch that carries the revenue

The subscriber loop is the part of the build a customer is eventually sold on, so its as-built has to be as trustworthy as the backbone.

Why capture at source

A record assembled afterwards is a record nobody can stand behind.

Contractors rush at month-end and cut corners on depth, compaction and documentation. Photos get reused across stretches, test reports are fabricated, and the data is corrupted at every handoff up the hierarchy from field crew to site engineer to contractor to project manager to client. The audit that catches it arrives months later, when remediation costs many times what prevention would have.

Nothing to type

Computer vision reads the value straight off the image and auto-fills the form. Fewer manual entries means fewer entries anyone can invent.

Nothing to reorder

The workflow is locked. A crew cannot skip a check, mark a step done without its evidence, or rearrange the sequence after the fact.

Nothing lost to coverage

Maps, layers and workflows download ahead of the visit. Capture saves locally and syncs at end of day, so the rules hold with no signal.

Nothing detached from place

Every capture carries its position, fixed to sub-5cm with CORS corrections, so the evidence cannot drift away from the work it proves.

Performance engineered into the capture.

SmartBuild is mid-build, so these are the technical performance targets the v1 system is engineered to, not customer results. They define what evidence at source means in practice: where the work is, how deep it goes, and how consistently it is proven.
