NoBroker
Broker-free property search, rebuilt on Google Maps Platform.
NoBroker runs India’s largest broker-free real-estate marketplace. Buyers, tenants and owners transact directly, which puts the whole burden of trust on the listing itself: where the property actually is, what surrounds it, and how far it sits from the places a person cares about. That is a maps problem before it is a marketplace problem.
What was built
NoBroker moved its location stack to Google Maps Platform, with Lepton Software as the Google Maps Platform tech partner on the engagement. The implementation spans four Google APIs:
- Geocoding API, to turn the vague, informal addresses Indian listings arrive with into precise coordinates.
- Places API, so a listing carries the schools, transit and amenities around it rather than a bare pin.
- Distance Matrix API, for commute and proximity filtering against the places a buyer or tenant actually travels to.
- Maps JavaScript API, for the interactive map surface across the product.
The outcome
In the story Google published on the Google Maps Platform blog, NoBroker reports a 30-40% lift in user conversion after the Google Maps Platform onboarding, along with reduced search abandonment and higher product engagement.
