The Bid Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the entire bid process, from initial inquiry to final submission. This role requires strategic thinking, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills to ensure that all bids meet client requirements and company objectives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
● Bid Management:
– Lead the end-to-end bid process, ensuring all deadlines are met and submissions are complete, accurate, and compelling.
– Analyze and interpret client requirements, RFPs (Request for Proposals), RFQs (Request for
Quotations), and ITTs (Invitations to Tender).
– Develop bid strategies, including win themes, value propositions, and pricing models.
Coordination and Collaboration:
– Work closely with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, finance, legal, operations) to gather necessary information and ensure alignment on bid strategy.
– Coordinate with subject matter experts to gather technical, financial, and legal information required for the bid.
– Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and suppliers.
Document Preparation:
– Create, edit, and format bid documents, ensuring they are professional, persuasive, and errorfree.
– Prepare different kind of letter to respond the government queries
– Develop templates and standardized content for use in future bids to improve efficiency and consistency.
– Review and approve final bid submissions, ensuring compliance with all client requirements.
Risk Management:
– Identify potential risks and issues related to the bid and develop strategies to mitigate them.
– Ensure all bids are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
Post-Submission Activities:
– Participate in bid debriefs with clients to gather feedback and improve future bid processes.
– Track and report on the success rate of submitted bids, analyzing trends and making recommendations for improvement.
QUALIFICATION & SKILL SET
– 2-3 years of Proven experience in bid management, proposal writing, or a related role which includes.
– knowledge of all government portal like GEM, CPP, Railway, State government etc.
– A bachelor’s degree is mandatory. MBA would be an added advantage.
– Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics for government sector.
– Excellent oral and written communication skills.
– Knowledge of tender submission and preparation of proposal and supporting document based on government RFP Working knowledge of commercial term and condition and pricing.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
– Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
– Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade.
– Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in document preparation.
