Testing Lead

The role involves quality & test advocacy, resource planning & management, and resolution of issues that
impede the testing effort.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY
● Building up and leading the “Testing Team” and “Support engineers” at offsite & onsite.
● Defining the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery.
● Applying the appropriate test measurements and metrics in the product and the Testing Team.
● Planning, deploying and managing the testing effort for any given engagement.
● Responsible for Product Testing (Manual testing, Auto testing, Load/Performance Testing)
● Adherence to standards and procedures related to test script development, testing
methodology and documentation (Test case, Test procedures and Test report)
● UAT with customer
● Training/Providing Demo to customers.
● Update Product user manual (as per latest release)
● Resolution of all operational issues of the users for the current solution deployed at the customer
premises as reported by customers.
● Coordinate with L3/Dev. Team for resolution/fixing of issue in the product
● Adherence to all the operational procedures/processes
● Interact with customer and stakeholder regarding the resolution of issues.
● Regular weekly/monthly review meeting with customer stakeholder to review overall operational
support performance

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
● Must be well versed with Load testing (J-meter etc.).
● Strong Mobile app testing knowledge (Appium/ Robotium), API testing (SoapUI/ Postman).
● Strong working knowledge of bug reporting tools like GIT/JIRA.
● Must have worked on automate tools for testing.
● Exposure to use of automated testing tool (like Selenium/QTP) would be a plus.
● Strong working knowledge of quality assurance methods for .NET applications, windows as well
as web products.
● Testing Methodologies and Strategies:
o Proficiency in various software testing methodologies such as Agile Testing, Waterfall, and
DevOps.
o Experience in defining testing strategies, including functional testing, regression testing,
performance testing, and security testing.
o Knowledge of test planning, estimation, and prioritization techniques.
● Test Automation:
o Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or
JUnit.
o Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test suites for web,
mobile, and API testing.
o Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation.
● Manual Testing:
o Strong understanding of manual testing principles and techniques.
o Experience in creating test cases, test scenarios, and test data sets.
o Ability to perform exploratory testing to uncover defects and verify software functionality.
● Test Management Tools:
o Proficiency in test management tools such as Jira, GIT .
o Experience in test case management, test execution tracking, and defect management using
these tools.
● Performance Testing:
o Experience in performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
o Ability to design, execute, and analyze performance tests to identify bottlenecks and optimize
system performance.
● Security Testing:
o Understanding of security testing principles and techniques.
o Experience in using security testing tools such as Burp Suite or Nessus.
o Ability to identify security vulnerabilities and recommend remediation measures.
● Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
o Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
o Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for early detection of defects.
● Defect Management:
o Proficiency in defect tracking and reporting using tools like Jira, GIT.
o Ability to prioritize defects based on severity, impact, and business requirements.
o Experience in root cause analysis and defect triaging to facilitate timely resolution.
● Communication and Collaboration:
o Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams, including developers,
product managers, and business stakeholders.
o Collaboration skills to work effectively in an Agile environment and participate in sprint
planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
o Ability to provide clear and concise feedback to stakeholders on testing progress and quality
metrics.

● Leadership and Mentoring:
o Leadership skills to lead a team of testers and coordinate testing activities across multiple
projects.
o Experience in mentoring junior testers, providing guidance on testing best practices, and
facilitating their professional growth.
o Ability to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the testing team.
QUALIFICATION & SKILLSET
● B.E./ B.Tech./ MCA would be preferred.
● 7-12 years of experience.
● Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
● Candidate should hold 60% & above in 10th, 12th and Graduation.
